Made by Umacha, this kyusu-style teapot is yet simple but elegant. The black body contrasts with the pink lid and the small pastel of pink on the handle. The lid is mainly pink but it would not truly be Japanese without the bloomed white flowers.

However, a common criticism of this kind of teapot is that the brewing space is not as large as fixed strainer teapots. Therefore, it does not brew quite as well as fixed strainer teapots. As you can tell by the pictures, it isn't the case for this teapot. Take a look at the strainer. Umacha makes strainers that are bigger than in most teapots and it gives a better taste to the tea.
