Artisan Masterwork & Culinary Serving Benefits:
  • Authentic Handmade Heritage: Every platter is individually cut, sanded, and assembled by seasoned woodworkers in Akita. This ensures distinct grain individuality and structural longevity that assembly-line items simply cannot mimic.
  • Elevated Geta Presentation: The raised leg geometry creates a clean, floating aesthetic on your table, allowing your colorful selections of tuna, salmon, and wasabi to stand out beautifully as a culinary centerpiece.
  • Natural Moisture & Aroma Control: Fine Japanese cedar inherently breathes. It helps manage condensation underneath warm sushi rice blocks while filling the room with a clean, classic scent that complements your food.
  • Versatile Entertaining Platforms: While tailored for premium sushi and sashimi courses, these elegant wooden blocks also work wonderfully for serving delicate wagashi (Japanese sweets), cheeses, or artisan appetizers.
⚠️ Cedar Woodwork Care, Appliance Limits, & Moisture Maintenance:

Automated Washing Prohibition: Do not place these handmade timber trays inside an automated dishwasher. The harsh, high-pressure water streams and strong alkaline soaps will quickly wash away the cedar's natural oils, warp the structure, and split the joins.
Manual Clean & Flush Protocol: Wash gently by hand immediately after use using lukewarm water, a mild dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. To keep raw fish juices from staining the bare timber, you can lightly mist the wood with clean water right before placing food down.
Shaded Air-Drying Stance: Wipe off excess water with a towel right away. Stand the trays up on their sides in a dish rack to dry completely in a shaded, well-ventilated space. Never leave them soaking in sink water or dry them under direct, harsh sunlight, which causes wood warping.
Microwave Caution Note: While the natural cedar material is technically microwave-compatible for quick, low-power food warming cycles, avoid long or high-heat microwave use. Overheating cooks out the wood's inner moisture, which can cause the timber to crack or bow over time.
Strict Heat & Baking Boundaries: Keep these wood blocks entirely away from conventional baking ovens, broilers, or open kitchen flames to prevent scorching and structural damage.
