I ordered these canisters for myself, but they were so very cute that I have decided to give them as gifts to two friends who love cats (and tea). Traditional washi paper over tin, these canisters are useful and pretty. Perfect for cat lovers everywhere!
Lovely design and excellent inner seal. No issues or complaints. It took several weeks for my order to arrive because of customs problems here in the U.S., but Akazuki customer service replied immediately to my inquiry letter. This was a nice company to work with.
For anyone nervous about tins covered in paper, this one should put your mind at rest. The picture is directly on the metal and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The seal is tight and I will definitely use this one.
Today I received my order of these tea cups and scoops/saucers. Couldn't wait to open them! I was very pleased with everything. They arrived in perfect shape--the packaging was very good and protective. I will use it to keep them safe when stored. I like the weight and feel of the cups. The colors are beautiful and complimentary of each other. I especially appreciate the very pale interior of the cups that allows the color of the tea to show. I could not be happier with my purchase! The pictures I sent show the box and the cups.
We had these tea cups at our small Hotel in Hakone, Japan, and hoped to find them on line. These are perfect!!
Good product but long wait time for delivery to US. Because of wrenches thrown into trade wheels by Trump administration, my order was held in custom clearance stage for weeks. Akazuki was awesome. They replied my message and the item was well packaged. Top notch Japanese item and customer service.

I recently returned to rebuy the ice blue bottle as a backup. I have two of these in constant use, one for cold green tea, one for water. These bottles are reliably tight and very sturdy. I had one drop to the kitchen floor several times (out of a backpack side pocket when bending to the floor). No damage beyond some light scratches in the paint! Cold drinks keep cold all day long, but I haven't timed how long hot drinks keep hot. In any case, I would come back for those double-walled steel bottles again! They're great!
