Japanese small bowls (Kobachi)

Kobachi are the small bowls a Japanese meal is built around: pickles, simmered vegetables, a dipping sauce, a single appetiser set beside the rice rather than on top of it. Because they are used several at a time, ours are mostly sold in sets, made in Mino and Hasami. Read what Japanese bowls are called to place each shape on the table, pair them with our sauce plates, or browse the full Japanese bowls collection.
